Yes, most LED lights can be dimmed if using the correct dimmer. Most good quality LED downlights now are dimmable but it depends on the dimmer you have to how they perform.

Even though the fitting says it’s dimmable, it might dim down to 20% with some brands of dimmers and down to 0% with others. This is not a quality issue, it is a compatibility issue. Even though both brands are compatible, one brand may work better. The best thing to do is ask the manufacture which brands they have tested and which brand works best with their downlight.

Some lighting brands are now even making their own brand of dimmer to match their lights to ensure 100% compatibility.
